1. Description
--------------

This program is a version for Win9X/NT of the classic 'fortune' game
included with Linux. It shows the fortune text simulating a console
view every time the program is launched, with an option of start with
Windows.

You also need the fortune data files (not included). This files are
included in almost all Linux distributions, and it is usually installed
at /usr/lib/games/fortune. You also download several fortune files from
the AMPSoft page at http://go.to/ampsoft.

See Changes.txt for changes history.

4. Usage tips
-------------

- The first thing you need to do is create an index for every fortune
file you want to use. To do this, go to "File/Create indexes" and select
the fortune files. When you have the indexes created, you can select
the files that will be used to display a fortune with "File/Select
  Fortune" Files.

- With the option "Fortunes/Reset fortunes" you can view again the all
the previous showed fortunes (the program don't repeat a fortune until
all the fortunes in a file are shown).

- The "Delay when the program starts with Windows" option lets you set
the amount of time that the program is delayed in the Windows startup,
to minimize the number of programs running at the same time. If you
want no delay, enter a value of 0. This setting don't have effect when
the program is launched using the Start menu or the Explorer.

- When you select a Favorites file that already exists, the fortunes
are appended at the end of the file (the existing text is preserved).

- If you use fortune files from a Linux distribution, you may need to
change the file format to DOS/Windows, that is to say, a file format
  with CR/LF line breaks.
